Here we go again….. my unboxing of yet another FABULOUS box from The Natural Beauty Box.  This month’s theme is ‘Flower Power’ and as always, I forgot to take a picture of the box before I unboxed it! (Too much excitement!).

About The Natural Beauty Box

If you’ve read previous posts, or watched my unboxing videos, you will already know about this fabulous box!

For those that don’t know, this box is a monthly subscription box that delivers 5 or 6 natural, cruelty free and vegan products directly to your door.  Each month has a different theme, which is curated amazingly well by the lovely Emma.

The box is £24.95 per month with FREE postage and is most definitely value for money.  Each box is worth over £50; I’ve had boxes worth near on £100!

At the beginning of the month Emma announces the theme, and then posts reveals across social media throughout the month.  Check her out at the following – website, instagram, twitter and facebook.

I have honestly found some of my favourite brands and products through this box so it’s definitely worth checking out if you want to treat yourself each month (go on….you deserve it!).

February’s ‘Flower Power’ Box

I have to say, the presentation of this subscription box is always beautiful; you can tell how much love and care goes into each and every box, making it an absolute delight to open.

This months was no exception.  The two fragile products were not only wrapped in bubble wrap but also the cutest flowery tissue paper!  I just WISH I’d got a picture for you all!

So….what was included?

Five luxurious, fabulous products, all of which (as always!) I can’t wait to use! Here they are…..

The Natural Beauty Pot – Calendula & Lemongrass Bath Salts (£16)

The first thing I noticed about this was the packaging; a beautiful frosted glass bottle with a wooden lid. I’m absolutely in love with this!

Opening the bottle you get a strong scent of lemon which is so refreshing and made me want to put some straight in a bath and get in!

The bath salts are made using epsom salts, blended with calendula and lemongrass.  The epsom salts are great for detoxing the body, and because of their high-mineral content duplicate the benefits of a hot spring! (This will take me back to my holiday to Iceland!).  The calendula and lemongrass will help to energise and provide a pick me up.  This sounds fab, I’m looking forward to trying it out!  The only issue I have is my lack of bath……BUT I’ll be saving this for the next time someone lends me theirs!!

I’d not heard of The Natural Beauty Pot but I’m excited to have found them!  They’re an artisan company who creates their natural products in Northern Ireland.  I was pleased to see that the company was created due to the founders sensitive skin problems so KNOW that these products will be great for me and my skin!  All their products are, natural, organic, free from water and are produced in small quantities to maintain quality & freshness.  They also create make up so I’ll be checking that out too!

Bodhi and Birch Chinois Blue Body Oil (£7)

Another brand I’ve not heard of (I love being introduced to new brands!).  This is a travel size product, made from 100% natural ingredients, 96.8% of which are certified organic!  The oil can be used to massage into skin OR as a hair treatment!

The active ingredients in this oil are Camellia Oil, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Tamanu Oil, Hyacinth and Ginger.  Each of these have their own amazing properties including nourishing, moisturising, firming, toning and antimicrobial protection; as well as the scent which will relieve tension and calm busy minds.  This sounds amazing!

I can smell quite a strong ginger scent but because I’m not a fan of ginger – I don’t eat it and avoid putting it in food whenever I can so it’s what jumps out at me.  However there appears to be SO many benefits, I’d be crazy not to give this a try!

Bodhi and Birch are a niche, independent, eco-luxury skincare brand based in England (I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them!).  They have so many wonderful looking natural products, another website I’ll be spending plenty of time browsing!  The full sized version of the Chinois Blue Body Oil is £42, so not cheap, so it’s great that there are travel sized, affordable options to buy and try before committing.

Benecos Natural Powder Blush in Mallow Rose (£5.95)

I was so excited when this was announced in the reveal! I love getting new items of make up, and am in desperate need of a new blush!  The colour of this is absolutely gorgeous too and as I’m quite pale I think it will work with my skin nicely.

The blush includes an added ingredient of Organic Macadamia Oil which helps the skin to feel silky, and you can feel this when you touch it.  It FEELS silky smooth, and lovely to apply to skin.  Benecos confirmed that the formula for these blush’s has changed, as previously they contained carmine, but no more!!!  Perfectly safe for us vegans to use….hoorah!!!

Okko Face Balm Geranium & Clary Sage (£4)

Another new brand for me!  This product is a ‘try me’ size which if used twice a day, should last a week (I reckon it will last longer!).

It smells quite ‘herby’ when you open it (that would be the Clary Sage!) and applies really smoothly to the skin.  I immediately added a little bit to a dry bit of skin on my face and to my lips and it feels lovely.  It can be used daily as a moisturiser after cleansing skin or can be used as an intensive overnight treatment.  Personally I’d use it as an overnight treatment as it feels really nourishing.

Okko Skincare is another UK brand, who use eco-friendly packaging.  I really love the look of their full size products which are all ‘solid balms’ and love the fact that you can buy a ‘try me’ pack of 5 of their products!  All their products are natural and vegan friendly too!

Freya Luna Calendula & Sweet Violet Seriously Soothing Salve (£25)

I’ve tried Freya Luna products before and have always loved them – this is no exception!  This salve is developed for those with dry, flaky skin – perfect for me and my eczema!

I’m currently suffering with a really sore hand at the moment, and put this on as soon as I got it out of the box and honestly…..this is like MAGIC!!  A few hours later and my hand is MUCH less red and sore! I’ve been looking for this product all my life!

This contains shea butter, sesame oil, sweet violet leaf and calendula.  Between these ingredients they moisturise, soothe, heal, eliminate redness and soothe itching……this is really a miracle cure!  The consistency is thin and light, and is quite oily on the skin (great for dry skin!) so should last a really long time (a little foes a long way!).

Freya Luna products are all natural and made in North Wales.  Not all products are vegan friendly but there are only a small number that aren’t and these are clearly mentioned in the FAQ’s on the website.

If you have eczema, psoriasis or dry skin I would already (yes, after one use!), recommend you give this a go!  I’ve honestly never used a product like this – it’s MUCH better than any medical cream I’ve ever been given!  The fragrance is very light and fresh, and although it’s £25, I will most definitely repurchase this!

I have to say this is my favourite product in the box so thanks Emma!

As always, fab box! Some excellent new brands, as well as some new luxurious products to try! I have a feeling at least one of these will warrant a blog post of it’s own!
